When talking about IPTV, you’ll quite often hear the word MAC address being used. People sometimes mistakenly associate this term with an Apple MacBook, which is incorrect.
A MAC address is simply a unique identifier code that we use to link our services to your device. Think of it as your SIN(SSN). The MAC address takes on the form 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX.
Your MAC address can be found using the STB-Emulator App or in other cases can be found on your device.
STB Emulator is an app that can be found on your Google Play Store. It is used when setting up IPTV for most of your Android devices. The STB Emulator app generates a unique MAC address for your device which you can give to your IPTV service provider. This is how your provider links the streaming services to your device. STB Emulator is a free app which unfortunately contains advertisements at the top. You can purchase the STB Emulator Pro for an add-free version.
An M3U subscription is needed when trying to connect IPTV to your Windows, MacBook, Apple or SMART-IPTV device. Unfortunately at this time ALPHA4K does not offer a M3U link.
